Korean BBQ

Awhile back when we were still living in Joburg we had some friends over for a braai (Afrikaans for BBQ) and I wanted to have a Korean BBQ theme. There is a pretty large Korean population here probably because there are quite a few large Korean companies here that do really well like Samsung, LG, Kia and Hyundai.

Gôi Cuõn (Vietnamese Spring Rolls)

Gôi cuõnOne of my favorite cuisines has to be Vietnamese food. It’s so tasty and healthy because they use the freshest ingredients possible.

Back in LA there are a ton of Vietnamese restaurants to choose from, lots in Alhambra and even more in Westminster. My favorite Vietnamese restaurant is between Golden Deli and Saigon Flavor.

Sun-dried Tomato Cream Cheese Spread

I miss bagels. Growing up bagels were standard fare in school cafeteria’s and as an adult I often visited Noah’s New York Bagels to get my bagel fix. Noah’s offers New York style bagels but its stores are all located on the West Coast: California, Orgeon and Washington.
